Job Summary of Warehouse Sanitation Worker:

A vital aspect of the Warehouse Sanitation Worker job is to enforce cleanliness guidelines, maintain order, and ensure safety protocols in a warehouse facility. Their role involves the crucial task of keeping workstations, storage units, and communal spaces clean and free from potential dangers to facilitate efficient warehouse functions.

Responsibilities for Warehouse Sanitation Worker:

• Under general supervision, the Janitor will keep buildings in office, break rooms, bathrooms, yard/ground, parking lots warehouse and/or dock areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensures sanitation of work areas.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass and removing rubbish.
• Perform routine maintenance activities and cleaning show or debris from grounds, notifying management of need for repairso May be required to ensure that pest control systems are operating effectively and report any problems to supervisor.
• Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lots as seasonally required.
• Keep company grounds free of litter and debris.o Work safely.
• Report hazards to shift supervisor.
• Comply with OSHA standards.
• Comply with Company safety procedures in the workplace.o Follow attendance policy, show up for work on time and ready to work assigned shift.
• May be required to wash and/or sweep insides of trailers and/or railcars.

Qualification for Warehouse Sanitation Worker:

• While a high school diploma or GED is preferred, candidates can substitute this requirement with a year of relevant work experience.
• Competency in adhering to written or verbal guidelines.
• Aptitude for interpreting and adhering to safety guidelines, procedural documents, and visual representations.
• Effective communication abilities
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and janitorial procedures
• Skill in working self sufficiently
• Staff members have the option to put in extra hours outside of the standard workday, including evenings and weekends, to finalize work or participate in meetings as instructed and sanctioned by superiors
• Interacting positively with colleagues involves more than just following instructionst requires building relationships, demonstrating professionalism in behavior, engaging in tasks that involve thinking, negotiating, guiding, persuading, or conversing, and being able to accept and respond to feedback from managers in a constructive manner.
• One may need to operate cleaning machinery like steamers, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.

Physical Requirements for Warehouse Sanitation Worker:

• While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate is frequently required to use hands to handle objects; talk or hear; stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and taste or smell.
• The associate is frequently exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the warehouse is usually moderate.
