A Warehouse Maintenance Worker plays a crucial role in upholding cleanliness, order, and safety standards in a warehouse setting. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that various areas such as workspaces, storage sections, and communal areas are tidy and devoid of any potential risks in order to promote smooth warehouse activities.

Responsibilities for Warehouse Maintenance Worker:

• Under general supervision, the Janitor will keep buildings in office, break rooms, bathrooms, yard/ground, parking lots warehouse and/or dock areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensures sanitation of work areas.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass and removing rubbish.
• Perform routine maintenance activities and cleaning show or debris from grounds, notifying management of need for repairso May be required to ensure that pest control systems are operating effectively and report any problems to supervisor.
• Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lots as seasonally required.
• Keep company grounds free of litter and debris.o Work safely.
• Report hazards to shift supervisor.
• Comply with OSHA standards.
• Comply with Company safety procedures in the workplace.o Follow attendance policy, show up for work on time and ready to work assigned shift.
• May be required to wash and/or sweep insides of trailers and/or railcars.

Qualification for Warehouse Maintenance Worker:

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but one year of relevant work experience is also accepted.
• Capacity to adhere to written or spoken directives.
• Proficiency in comprehending and adhering to all safety protocols, instructional guides, and visual aids.
• Understanding of cleaning tools
• Understanding cleaning protocols and janitorial methods
• Independent work capability
• It is permissible to work beyond regular hours, at night, or on weekends to finalize tasks or participate in meetings, as instructed and approved by supervisors
• Being able to connect with others goes beyond just giving and receiving directions. It involves fostering positive relationships with colleagues, demonstrating balanced behavior, engaging in tasks that involve critical thinking, communication, and persuasion, as well as accepting feedback constructively from supervisors.
