Inventory Control Operator

Job Summary of Inventory Control Operator:

Maintaining correct inventory records, making sure stock levels are properly controlled, and assisting with effective warehouse operations are the duties of anInventory Control Operator. In order to preserve inventory correctness, this position entails keeping an eye on incoming and outgoing inventory and performing routine stock audits and inconsistencies.

Responsibilities for Inventory Control Operator:

• Supports in keeping an inventory record accurate.
• Ensure a secure work setting through individual commitment to safety. Identify and report any safety issues to maintain a hazard-free environment.
• Conduct periodic inventory evaluations, including routine cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventory audits
• Outline the record count results and discrepancies noted. Communicate the count results to Management or the Customer as appropriate.
• Addressing and resolving inventory discrepancies by investigating customer concerns, conducting cycle counts to locate missing items, updating inventory quantities, printing labels, managing damaged inventory, and disposing of items correctly.
• Coordinate with team members to update the Warehouse Management System with current inventory data and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Inspection of operational slip ups affecting inventory optimization.

Qualification for Inventory Control Operator:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one to three years' office experience or equivalent training and experience.
• Experienced with AS/400 and Microsoft Office, including Word and Exce

• Ability to work in fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements for Inventory Control Operator:

• Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruption so Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending
• Effective performance of manual duties with typical hand and finger motions is important for customary office work. Proficient verbal communication, auditory perception, and visual acuity are essential for accomplishing assigned responsibilities
• There could be a necessity to utilize both automobiles and airplanes for business travel
• May involve visiting facilities that operate in freezing temperatures
• May transport belongings associated with travel and occasionally lifts, moves, repositions, or moves items that weigh up to 20 pounds
• Involves the utilization of different electronic devices
• Successfully partnering with colleagues entails refraining from exhibiting extreme behaviors
• Mandates undertaking duties that require critical thinking, negotiating, mentoring, persuading, or interacting with others, and displaying the capacity to accept and act upon constructive criticism from executive leaders
